Boys Tennis Finishes 2nd in Region

This last Thursday and Friday the boys varsity tennis team competed in the Region Tournament. As a team Provo High took 2nd place, and 6 out of our 7 players qualified for the State Tournament happening this Friday and Saturday at Liberty Park in SLC. Gustavo Kerber Region Champ, Caden Petersen Places 2nd

Gustavo Kerber, Provo’s representative for 1st singles, finished his region play as Region 8 champion.  Gustavo’s relentless play full of tenacity has been his trademark for the entire season.  His play lifted him to the top of the region in preparation for the state tournament.  Gustavo will enter the state tournament as a one seed.

Tennis Defeats Wasatch

Last night Boys tennis played their last home match of the season vs. Wasatch. Varsity won 4-1 and clinched 2nd place in the region for the regular season. Tennis Falls to Maple Mountain

Boys Tennis lost a tough one against a very good team @ Maple Mountain today. Provo Tennis Defeats Springville 4-1

Two days ago, Boys Tennis played @ Springville. Varsity won 4-1 and improve to 10-2 for the season, and 3-0 in region play.

Provo Tennis Edges Skyridge 3-2

Varsity won a close one today at home against Skyridge, 3-2, with victories by Gustavo Kerber (6-1, 6-1), Caden Petersen (6-2, 6-0), and the deciding victory by Chandler Dukes/Kade Thompson (5-7, 7-5, 6-4). Provo Tennis Sweeps Timpanogos 5-0

Yesterday was our first match of the regular season region play, at home vs. Timpanogos. Varsity swept 5-0, with everyone winning in straight sets. Gustavo Kerber, Matthew Landon, Caden Petersen, Johnny Astle, Allen Otterstrom, Kade Thompson, Chandler Dukes. JV tied 4-4, with victories by Daniel Wilcox, Casey Black, Tyler Petersen/Zach Hall, and Peyton Gustafon/Nathan Petersen.
